The Fotona laser is one of the most advanced methods of closing capillaries, which very effectively closes broken capillaries, regardless of their location. By emitting a wave of the right length, it ensures complete coagulation of the vessel, thanks to which it brings immediate results. Thin capillaries (so-called spiders) are usually removed immediately after the first treatment.
Fotona laser allows closure of both vascular and pigmented lesions. The purpose of laser energy for the treatment of vascular lesions is hemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin. After the energy aberration, the temperature in the blood vessels increases locally. The final effect of this phenomenon is to reduce the diameter of the vessel with subsequent closure of its light.
Contraindications:
- pregnancy
- tanned skin
- use of self tanning agents
- use of photosensitizing drugs, i.e. retinoids, tetracyclines
- the use of photosensitizing herbs i.e. St. John's wort, calendula, ginkgo biloba
- skin diseases
- albinism, psoriasis, epilepsy
- coagulation disorders and the use of coagulation-reducing drugs
- prone to keloids, discoloration
Recommendations:
1. Before the procedure:
- do not use self tanning, scrubs, dermabrasion, creams with vit. C, retinol, acids
- do not sunbathe
2. After the procedure
- do not sunbathe and avoid the sun for 4 weeks after the procedure
- use sunscreen creams (minimum 30 SPF)
- give up the sauna, hot baths and intensive physical exercise for up to 2 weeks
- the treated area should not be irritated, do not use peels, preparations based on alcohol, soap, acids
- absolute scratching of scabs
Immediately after the procedure, the skin is red, crusts may appear at the treatment site, which heal for about 3-7 days. You can apply makeup. For larger vessels on the legs, the treated vessel may initially darken, and then absorb up to several months after surgery.
